In Staten Island, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across New York on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Staten Island is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Staten Island is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Ordered two pizzas for delivery: Buffalo chicken and pan pizza. Total (not including tip) was about $65. Both pizzas had cardboard crusts. The pan pizza was soggy in the center, tough throughout most of the slices, and not crispy except, mercifully, at the edges. It was loaded with mozzarella but didn’t have nearly enough tomato sauce to cut through the fat. The buffalo chicken pizza had a tough, mealy undercarriage, with dry chicken and not enough sauce. My order was delayed by about 10 minutes, taking over an hour to arrive even though I live nearby. It definitely wasn’t worth the $74 I paid post-tip.

Always great when l lived in Staten Island, and still great almost 30 years after l left New York! I went back last year to visit family, and had to stop in for a few slices. They still only take cash. LoL. I had forgotten that, and had to use the ATM in the pizzeria to get cash, but well worth it!

First time visiting the famous Brothers of Staten Island. I went out of my way to come here and I’m very glad I did. Many good choices of pizza and rolls which all looked delicious. I went with a plain , a Sicilian and an upside down slice. I normally avoid upside down but don’t sleep on this. The sauce was amazing, not sweet , maybe a little tangy with hints of crushed tomato. The crust was top notch with a slightly flaky texture which was a nice surprise. The Sicilian had a similar crust with flavorful cheese with a few charred areas for extra zest. Had the plain slice last and was also a winner. Cheesier than I expected with a soft crust. Lotta flop which isn’t a problem for me. All the talk about no flop undercarriage is fine but it’s not the only way to make great pizza. These folks make great pizza!!! Was my first but definitely not my last visit. Easy parking and plenty of seating in a connected back room.

At Brothers Pizza, the slices hit that classic New York note with a crispy crust, balanced sauce, and the right amount of cheese. The shop is run by a Sicilian crew, and you can taste that old-school pride in how they do things. It’s consistent, quick, and easy to rely on when you want something straightforward. Not life changing, but it delivers every time.

Delicious! The pepperoni pinwheels were the best thing I’ve ever eaten! The staff were also super friendly and we loved everything we ate! Best pizza place in the city! (Do be mindful, it is cash only!)
